Development of Land at Downview Road, Martin

NFDC are progressing plans for the development of the site at land north of Downview Road, Martin with the aim of contributing to the Council's ongoing housing strategy policy of providing much needed affordable and sustainable housing for local people.

Current plans to provide a high-quality scheme that fulfils the needs of residents, the village and the wider environment include proposals for:

• Affordable housing developed and owned by New Forest District Council, designed to current space standards.
• Eight homes with a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms.
• Use of robust materials that age gracefully and reflect the area and the site’s edge of settlement location.
• Designed with a fabric-first approach and green energy solutions to ensure minimal running costs.
