Consultation: Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how we will consult and involve others in planning matters in New Forest (outside the National Park). The SCI only relates to Planning and is a statutory document.

Review of comments

Following Cabinet approval in October 2024, a public consultation has been carried out on the proposed revisions to the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).

The draft revised SCI was subject to 6 weeks of formal public consultation from Wednesday 23 October – Friday 6 December 2024. Comments received during the consultation have been considered and some minor changes made.

A report was considered by the Cabinet on 5 February with a recommendation to Full Council on 24 February 2025 that the revised Statement of Community Involvement be adopted.
