This site was once the headquarters of the Advertiser & Times, a long standing local newspaper serving the local community.

The original office building has been converted into modern apartments (now known as 31 Compton Road), retaining the existing structure while upgrading the building to meet current standards. The properties are fitted with modern combi boilers and programmable heating controls.

The new apartment blocks (33 Compton Road & 62 Old Milton Road) have also been built with energy efficiency in mind, reducing carbon emissions and helping residents to lower their energy bills.

Sustainable technologies, such as air source hot water heat pumps, have been installed within these blocks, alongside energy efficient electric panel room heaters and the incorporation of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) and mechanical extract systems providing appropriate levels of ventilation.
